The most effective tool enabling oppression, occupation, and genocide is dehumanization. And the most effective tool enabling dehumanization is erasure. It is only in the great obscurity and darkness of erasure that a relatively recent special-interest entity like “Hamas” can be consistently posited as a shoo-in for the totality of Palestinian life. This then allows otherwise unfathomable death and destruction, documented by cameras and witnessed live by billions of eyes to be debated and even justified.
This series directly challenges this process of erasure and dehumanization by shedding light on the names, faces, and life experiences that tell the true Palestinian story, the story obfuscated and eradicated for decades.
